In the early 1990s, a nationally known and well-respected dermatologist from New York City saw our folding light therapy box. He was so impressed with the space-saving design that he suggested it would be the perfect model for a personal at home phototherapy treatment. With his continued professional input, UVBioTek™ was able to develop medical UVB phototherapy equipment and list them with the FDA.
