The fact that it was good looking certainly didn’t hurt! Also, being able to offer full-body treatments in one session, while not losing precious exam-room space, simply closed the deal. Their customer service is nonunparalled; the same staff-members who installed our original machine are still available to us today, although we have never needed a single service call. When I prescribe light boxes for home use, I push insurance companies to get them from UVBioTek™. They don’t always appreciate it, but they get the best deal in terms of price, service and reliability. I have never had as good a long-term relationship with any of my equipment vendors as I have had with UVBioTek™.

My Psoriasis breakout began in 1998. My dermatologist began with creams, and then progressed to Methotrexate (Chemotherapy) as my condition covered 90% of my body. These strong medications made me sick, and I lost time from work. I changed doctors and was given another option: "Phototherapy" in the doctors clinic. We use a UVBioTek™ combined narrow-band UVB/PUVA unit. It gives us great flexibility. We’ve very pleased with the effectiveness of the unit in treating patients with psoriasis and a variety of other skin conditions. I can’t say anything one way or the other about UVBioTek™ service, because our unit has been reliable and hasn’t needed any service. I think dermatologists do well to offer patients office-based UV treatment services, but if that isn’t possible, prescribing home UV treatment is another great option.
